BusyShy ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Michael Lawanson. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed password.
Content you create. Posts, captions, and optimization inputs you generate inside the app are stored to power your history and insights features.
Usage data. We collect information about how you use the app, including features accessed and content generated, to improve the product.
Device information. We collect device type and operating system version for diagnostic purposes. If you enable push notifications, we store your device push token.
Subscription data. We store your subscription tier (free, starter, or pro) and subscription status. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your payment card information.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (TLS), row-level security on our database, and server-side secret management. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
BusyShy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You can delete your account from within the app's settings screen.
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy here with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
